LINES, LINES!!
My first graders are learning about line!  For this project we drew lines with glue.  After the glue was dry we painted lots of color on top. At our next art class we used black and silver crayon to outline the glue and add lines, lines, lines!!
     Flowers of the season
We live in the Sunflower State and these flowers are in full bloom right now.  After looking at Vincent Van Gogh's sunflowers, my second graders created colorful, vases of sunflowers.
Third graders did works based on VanGogh's Sunflowers.  You can really see the growth in technique and detail!
Third grade also learned about radial designs.
Fourth graders had a lot of fun carving in Styrofoam to create low relief creations of animals.  It was quite messy, and fingers got a work out, but it was well worth the effort.  This project gave two art works from one piece as we made prints from the carving!
This is an example of one of the carvingings and the print.  The students embellished the prints by stamping patterns and adding shapes.
Fifth Graders began the school year with design and color.
This is a fifth grader's floral creation. This was done with colored pencil and watercolor.
This fifth grade piece was created with Elmer's School Glue, watercolor and black felt tip pen.
